In 1968 Portland Marine opened its doors to the boating community in Portland, Texas and the surrounding area.
In October 1980, Richard Foley took the helm as owner and general manager. Having worked for several boat dealerships over the years as service manager, Richard stepped into ownership with a passion for the boating business. He knew that in order to succeed, he first needed to offer his customers the best products and services available. And today that same idea of "taking care of the customer" is practiced in every department. Many of those first customers are still customers today.
The boating industry has seen many changes since 1980 and Portland Marine has made every effort to keep up with the changes and offer the highest quality products available. We are very proud to be a full line EVINRUDE dealer, offering boats packaged with Evinrude E-Tec . We can also repower your existing boat.
